Kenta Nagamine’s work is shaped through direct engagement with materials, intentionally retaining the irregularities inherent to making. He sources fabrics from textile regions across Japan, selecting them for their material individuality and production-specific qualities. Nagamine grew up in Osaka, Japan, then studied and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area before returning to Japan to study fashion at coconogacco in Tokyo, where he developed a practice rooted in material experimentation and process.
