Introducing Poor Baby, a jewelry line by Wyatt Joseph Little Moose. Wyatt describes the line as a hoping mechanism—a vessel for cultural continuity, preservation, and ancestral knowledge.
The reception to their work has been phenomenal so far. Truth be told, this is already a partial restock, since the first pieces sold out so quickly in-store. The work feels inviting. Multi-generational, multicultural, and modern.
The designer's call to create comes from exploring his Wenatchi heritage and honoring their deep connection to rivers and fish. “Wenatchi” means “people of the in-between,” referencing the ancestral lands between the Columbia and Wenatchee rivers in Washington. This converging spirit moves through Poor Baby’s work. It carries an energetic force — an edginess that’s graceful and elegant in the same breath.
Each necklace uses distinctive beads and stones such as Biwa pearls (known for their high luster from Lake Biwa, Japan), hematite, jade, and tungsten fishing lures.
We're excited to be part of this young brand's journey.
