Poor Baby is an Indigenous-owned hoping mechanism for cultural reconnection and preservation, seeking to access and carry forward the knowledge of their ancestors.
Each piece is handmade by Wenatchi designer Wyatt Joseph Little Moose in Southern California. Descended from a once-nomadic fishing tribe, Wyatt draws creative guidance from the lifeways of his people - reflecting their deep connection with river systems and fish in his work. The Wenatchi, whose name translates to “people of the in-between,” lived along the lands between the Columbia and Wenatchee rivers, and that spirit of place continues to guide his practice.
