Last night, we installed Matter of Time: Khôi Phạm which opens today 4/4.
The joy of art in our space is that it gets contextualized with so much more. We never know exactly what kind of conversations they'll have ... amongst the other designer works, clothing, handmade objects, our staff, the chairs we sit on, the plants overgrown or under watered. For Khoi's work, it's at once loud, vivacious, as it is contemplative and confronting. Looking at something you know in real life and at the same time, out of a storybook.
We're really excited as tonight there will also be an audio sculpture by artist, singer/songwriter Sab Mai, and food and wine lovingly made by our friends Cyn (Sea2Sea) and Fred (Ywale wines).
