Tencha leaves, which are primarily used for matcha production, are then roasted to create this unique and rare tea. The roasted tencha has delicate sweet notes (malty, biscuits, bit of honey) giving it the name Amehouji, 'ame' meaning sweet in Japanese.
Enjoy this tea hot or cold. Steeping instructions are labeled on each bag.
Feature Flora teas are produced by a 4th-gen, women-owned tea farm in Kyoto. The Hori family experiments with rare cultivars and creates unique single-origin teas to reignite appreciation for the beauty and complexity of high-quality Japanese tea.
